Seefeld skiing track
In a total of around 3.5 hours, you will learn on this themed hiking trail how skiing has developed culturally and historically. You start at the Seekirchl and find out everything there is to know about cross-country skiing, ski jumping and skiing. Furthermore, you will visit all 10 stations of the old competition trails of the Olympic Games. Of course, you can try out your newly gained knowledge right away: you may, for example, practice the diagonal step, do special strength exercises or enjoy a crank cinema with old pictures of skiing. While children can let off steam in a training course.
Starting off with the FIS competitions in 1933, you will trace back the history of Nordic skiing on this tour, up to the 1964 and 1976 Olympic Games and learn interesting things about the 1985 World Cup. Finally, the 2019 Nordic World Championships will be presented to you at the Brunschkopf.
The Ice Age Trail in Seefeld
How did the Ice Age affect the formation of the Seefeld high plateau? How did the glaciers form? And how long did the Ice Age shape this place? These and other questions will be answered on the Ice Age Trail in Mösern. Numerous viewpoints are equipped with information devices, interactive elements and 3-D simulations to explain glaciation, glacier force, ice height, glacier flow, glacier cut, boulder and many other details from the Ice Age.
